opening the circuit
by martin bonadeo

The idea behind this project is to connect three of the most importart Buenos Aires's art gallerries -CCEBA, Klemm y Ruth Benzacar- located underground in a 100 m2 radio.

The fact that the three of them are below gound level and none of them has windows, states the idea of closed circuit or intimate circle which I pretend to open with this action.

The installation requires the use of one of the security cams of each of these galleries and also of a small place for a monitor emmiting in real time one of the other gallerie's activities.

For its dimensions, this piece is meant to share the space with other shows.

The act of breaking these secuity closed circuits and open it to a public sphere will allow an intrusion into each gallery's intimacy, generating security debates and questioning art values.
